Modlin Family Road Trip - Day 11 - Tennant Creek to Alice Springs - The End

We are home. Rather than giving a standard Russell summary, I will hand over to Belinda to give the final summary of the trip and her reflections of our time away. Enjoy.
Hello fellow blog readers.  I thought it was time I added my two cents worth to this blog thing.  It sure has been an adventure for us all and we have more than thoroughly enjoyed our road trip.  Today was a great day because it meant we could get home to our own beds, but it was also a sad day because arriving home signalled the end of our holiday, plus a truck load of washing and unpacking for me!!
We left our very average accomodation in Tennant Creek to begin our journey to Modlin Motel.  Today our travels took to the Devil's Marbles, Wauchope and Ti Tree.  It was more of a quick stop at each place to take pictures, get fuel or go to the loo!!  We did run into a native at the Devil's Marbles...a snake.  We have yet to identify what types it was.
It was an awesome experience exploring the territory with my wonderful family.  The scenery and landscape is wonderfully breathtaking and makes you appreciate what an incredible creation we are a part of.   Interesting rock formations, interesting little creatures that make the desert their home, beautiful birdlife and surprising little pockets of paradise...just amazing.  Also, so nice to be building special memories together with the boys.  We shared lots of fun and laughs. The boys are now looking forward to going tthrough all the photos again and talking about the things we did.  For Elijah, it's talking about all the different places we stayed and which one he liked the best!!  Thanks to everyone who followed us on our road trip.  Watch this space for the next Modlin family adventure.

Another well trained tourist.
